Age: 8-11

Five children from 8s 9s class were observed climbing the perimeter of the school hall without touching the ground (including bricks). They used fences, trees, chairs, benches and tables to progress, and there was also two children following the progress and placing garbage bins and strips of bark on the ground so that everybody could continue over wider gaps.

This activity is known at School 17, and during the visit a number of teachers mentioned this activity. Apparently recently, members of the 10s 11s class attempted to scale the perimeter of the entire school without touching the ground.
