Elimination Game South Sydney Dragons Game

Elimination Game, Forbidden Game and Physical Play

South Sydney Dragons Game was a spontaneously created elimination game played by both boys and girls.

At School 15

Players: 5
Girls and Boys
Age: 8-9
Props: Chalk

One caller is IT. He calls out a letter from the Dragons and counts to 3 and the other players have to run to that letter. If you miss out you leave the field. Last one left is the caller. This was a spontaneously created game. A boy new to the school grabbed some coloured chalk used by the girls for hop-scotch and wrote south Sydney Dragons as graffiti.

He was quickly informed that this was against the rules.

Jenny Gall suggested that a way of avoiding punishment was to turn it into a game that needed the words and the above is what they came up with on the spot.
