This rhyme has the same hand actions as Coconut, but with different words and an extra element of chance:
Bubble gum, bubble gum,
Sitting in a dish,
How many pieces do you wish?
(Player whose hand has been touched last says a number, e.g. six)
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
The player whose hand the count stops on has to change it to the next shape in the series.
Last person in is the winner.
N.B. The children who demonstrated this game silently counted ahead before saying the number, so they could choose whose hand the count fell on. They use this activity as a game in itself, rather than as a ritual to choose who goes 'It'.
