Playing in trees - most schools don't allow children to climb trees but children still like to play in them.

Sitting in low, twisted tree branches, talking. Climbing of trees forbidden.

Tree climbing - sitting in branches. Running and hiding amongst closely planted trees. Sword fighting using sticks behind trees. Playing 'Build-ups' - chasey game where 'it' tags someone, then they too become 'it'. Each child tagged joins the chasing group until the last child is caught.

Dramatic Play. Students live in tree branches. They are angels. Seagulls and other students on the oval are demons. The angels have special powers to protect themselves.

Dramatic Play. Home making amongst trees and shrubs. Three bear sisters live together. Stick fence construction, foliage garden, foliage sweeping broom. Two coloured bubble-blowing sticks inserted into dirt - warning signals for the bears. Green - safe to leave the house. Red - danger, stay inside.
