Children use large round hoops to play a variety of games. The games include spinning the hoops on their arms, around their waist and around their ankles. They also skip with them, toll hem along the ground and flick them so that they go forward a little but then spin backwards towards them.

The player places the hoop (about 700 cms in diameter) over her head and around her body and then begins to gyrate so the the hoop spins around via centrifugal force. The player also uses a similar action to spin the hoop individually around their arms and legs.

They all tried to spin the hoops on their wrists, and after a couple of false starts they all got them going together.
